Papilio demoleus malayanus (Lime butterfly or Malayan lime swallowtail) is a subspecies of Papilio demoleus, widely found in Malaysia and surrounding regions. Unlike many swallowtails, it lacks the long tails on its hindwings, making it easily recognizable by its black wings patterned with creamy-white bands and yellowish spots, along with red and blue markings near the hindwing edges. It is a fast and strong flier, often seen in gardens, parks, and citrus plantations. The larvae feed on citrus plants (Rutaceae), sometimes becoming agricultural pests, while adults serve as active pollinators in various habitats.
