Graphium agamemnon (tailed jay) is a striking swallowtail butterfly found across South and Southeast Asia and into Australia. It is easily recognized by its black wings patterned with bright green spots and its distinctive long tails on the hindwings. A strong and restless flier, it is often seen fluttering rapidly among flowering plants, where adults feed on nectar. The larvae primarily feed on plants of the custard apple family (Annonaceae). Known for its beauty and speed, the tailed jay plays an important role as both a pollinator and a part of tropical food webs.
