Cassida circumdata is a species of tortoise beetle in the family Chrysomelidae, found in parts of Asia. It is easily recognized by its rounded, shield-like body shape and translucent margins of the elytra, which give it a distinctive flattened appearance. The beetle is herbivorous, feeding mainly on leaves of plants in the morning glory family (Convolvulaceae). Like other tortoise beetles, it uses its broad body and ability to cling tightly to surfaces as a defense against predators. While sometimes considered a minor pest, it also contributes to ecological balance as part of the plant–insect food web.
