Banana Seed Paper Making Workshop

Ripple: Small Seeds, Small Acts, Big Impact

In conjunction with Earth Fest 2025, we’re hosting a fun and meaningful Seed Paper Making Workshop! Come and experience the joy of turning banana plants into handmade paper.

Together, we’ll learn how to transform banana fibers from our food forest into beautiful seed paper. Each sheet carries real seeds from the Project M.A.R.S. Food Forest, ready for you to take home and plant.

This workshop is more than just a craft—it’s about spreading seeds, sparking growth, and showing how small acts can create big impacts. The paper can be written on, gifted, and most importantly, returned to the earth to grow into new life. We encourage you to plant your seed paper in your garden or a pot at home and watch the greenery begin right where you live.

You will:

  • Visit the Food Forest and the Mud House Seed Bank
  • Learn about different plants in the food forest
  • Discover how to process banana fibers into handmade paper
  • Create seed-infused paper
  • Explore how creativity, sustainability, and planting can be part of daily life
