Talinum paniculatum, commonly known as Jewels of Opar or fameflower, is a perennial succulent herb in the Talinaceae family. Native to tropical America, it is cultivated as an ornamental plant for its attractive clusters of small pink to magenta flowers and fleshy, bright green leaves. Traditionally, some parts of the plant—including leaves and roots—have been used in folk medicine for their diuretic and anti-inflammatory properties. With its ornamental, medicinal, and ecological significance, Talinum paniculatum remains popular in gardens, landscaping, and traditional herbal practices in tropical and subtropical regions.
