Chrysosoma leucopogon is a species of long-legged fly in the family Dolichopodidae, found in parts of Asia and Oceania. Like others in its family, it is a small, slender fly with metallic green or blue coloration and long, delicate legs. Adults are agile fliers and are often seen on vegetation, where they prey on smaller insects, making them beneficial for natural pest control. Though tiny and often overlooked, they play an important ecological role as predators and as part of the food web for larger insects, spiders, and birds.
