Atractomorpha crenulata (tobacco grasshopper) is a slender, green to brown grasshopper belonging to the family Pyrgomorphidae, found across Asia and parts of Africa. It is characterized by its narrow, elongated body and pointed head, which help it blend into grasses and foliage. Often seen in agricultural fields, it feeds on a wide range of crops, including tobacco, rice, and vegetables, sometimes reaching pest status. Despite this, it plays a role in food webs as prey for birds, reptiles, and other insectivores.
