Cyanthillium cinereum (little ironweed or ash-coloured fleabane) is a small annual herb belonging to the Asteraceae family, native to tropical Asia and Africa. It grows up to about 60–100 cm tall, with slender stems, narrow leaves, and clusters of tiny purple to pinkish flower heads. Often found in grasslands, roadsides, and disturbed soils, it is sometimes regarded as a weed. Traditionally, it has been used in herbal medicine for ailments such as fever, cough, and smoking cessation, while also serving as a nectar source for butterflies and bees.
