Seed Bank

At the heart of Project M.A.R.S. lies our seed bank, a living archive dedicated to saving, preserving, propagating, and sharing seeds within our community. By protecting native and heirloom varieties, we not only honor the region’s natural heritage but also strengthen local food security and resilience in the face of climate change. Seeds carry the promise of abundance, adaptability, and continuity—by safeguarding them, we ensure that future generations have access to diverse, resilient crops that can thrive under shifting environmental conditions. Beyond preservation, sharing these seeds within and beyond our community fosters knowledge exchange, self-reliance, and solidarity, empowering individuals and groups to actively participate in regenerative practices. Each seed planted is a tangible contribution to a more sustainable and resilient future, reinforcing the vital connection between people, land, and the ecosystems that sustain us all.

Our seed bank was built with the community in mind. If you wish to donate local seeds to further increase its resiliency and insure a better food security for all of us, we would be grateful if you feel like doing so.
